It’s All About Money: Unique Midas Mode Tournament Starts Tomorrow

Unique online-tournament called Midas Mode starts tomorrow on November 18 and feature some of the top-tier American and European teams.

Midas Mode tournament is not like all the other events out there – the tournament will be held using a special fun mode created by Moonduck, which moto says “Nothing in life is free”. At the start of the tournament each team is given a certain amount of money called “moonbucks”, and each action throughout the tournament needs to be paid for – the teams will have to pay for picks and bans, for choosing a side and even for pausing the game. If all the money is spent, a team will be able to pick only a limited amount of “the worst” heroes (probably, based on their win rate or popularity). The money can be earned by completing special challenges voted by the community or even by betting on the outcomes of the matches.

Despite the fun nature of the tournament and the fact that it is held in the same time as the Chinese Perfect World Masters minor-tournament, Moonduck managed to bring in some of the top-tier teams from Europe and North America.
