Rogue Is the Champion of 2017 WCS Global Finals
The main event of the competitive StarCraft II season 2017 WCS Global Finals have concluded and we have a new champion – Lee "Rogue" Byung Ryul defeats Eo "soO" Yoon Su in the grand final and takes home $280,000.
2017 WCS Global Finals was held on October 27 – November 4 in Anaheim, United States. First, sixteen participating players were placed into four groups with the GSL format. Then two best players from each group advanced to the playoff stage, which was held during BlizzCon.
In the playoffs soO defeated GuMiho (3-2) and SpeCial (3-0), while Rogue outplayed herO (3-1) and TY (3-2). The Grand Finals ended with the score of 4-2 in the favor of Rogue.
