Team Adroit Wins the Asian Region in WeSave! Charity Play
The Southeast Asia region of WeSave! Charity Play saw a Filipino grand final – in the deciding series Team Adroit defeated Geek Fam with the 3-2 score, with the final map lasting over 60 minutes.
Earlier in the semifinals Team Adroit defeated TNC Predator, while Geek Fam outplayed BOOM Esports, with both series ending with the 2-0 score. Initially the grand final was supposed to be played as a best-of-three series; however, the format was changed to best-of-five due to the tournament’s prize pool increasing to $180,000.

WeSave! Charity Play is a Dota 2 online charity event. The initial prize pool was set at $120,000, and as of now it already exceeds $183,000 thanks to donations from viewers. Currently three stretch goals were achieved – the winners of European and CIS regions will play a best-of-five series, the North American region will see a 3v3 all-star show match, and the format of the regional finals was changed from bo3 to bo5. All raised funds will be donated to CEPI and GlobalGiving to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
