Team Kaliber are the Champions of the First Ever CoD: WWII Tournament

The North American squad Team Kaliber became the champions of the first ever Call of Duty: WWII LAN-event CWL Dallas Open 2018 after defeating Splyce in the Grand Finals of the tournament.

CWL Dallas Open 2018 consisted of three main stages: Open Bracket, Pool Party and Championship Bracket.

In the Open Bracket more than 160 teams competed in a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three regular series and best-of-five Losers and Winners brackets finals. Top four teams from the Winners Bracket qualified for Pool Party, including Echo Fox, Team Allegiance, Next Threat and FaZe Clan. Top four teams from the Losers Bracket qualified for Championship Bracket Losers Round 1, including Rockets Esports, Team SiNister, Lightning Pandas NA and Millennium.

Pool Play featured 20 teams, including 16 best teams from North American, European and Asia-Pacific regions, as well as 4 teams qualified from the Open Bracket. They were seeded into four groups of five teams with round-robin format and best-of-two series. Teams placed top two in their groups advanced to the Upper Championship Bracket, while the teams placed 3-5 advanced to the Lower Championship Bracket. In the Championship Bracket the teams competed in a double-elimination format with best-of-five series. Both finalists placed first in their groups, so they stared their way in the semifinals of the Winners Bracket. Team Kaliber defeated eUnited (3-2) in the semifinals and OpTic (3-0) in the finals, advancing to the grand finals, whereas Splyce dropped to Losers Bracket after losing to OpTic (2-0). In the Losers Bracket they outplayed FOX (3-1), FaZe (3-2) and OpTic (3-0). The Grand Final ended with the 3-2 score in favour of Team Kaliber, granting them $80,000 in prize money and 25,000 Pro Points.

CWL Dallas Open 2018 was held on December 8-10 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. The participating teams competed for their share of a $200,000 prize pool as well as for qualifier points. The prize pool was distributed as follows:
