2018 WCS Global Finals: Preview of the Playoffs Stage

The group stage of the main StarCraft II event of the year 2018 WCS Global Finals has completed and the remaining eight participants have been seeded for the upcoming playoffs stage.

The matches within the playoff stage will begin on November 2nd, all regular matches will be best-of-five. The grand finals, which will be best-of-seven, will be held on November 4th. Only players that placed 1st and 2nd in their groups will participate in the playoffs. Out of eight playoffs participants, six are from South Korea, including Maru, sOs, Stats, Rogue, TY and Dark. The other two participants are SpeCial (Mexico) and Serral (Finland). They will compete in a single-elimination format.

The group stage was held on October 26-27 and featured four GSL groups with best-of-three series.

2018 WCS Global Finals is being held in Anaheim, United States. The prize pool of the event is set at $700,000.
