Cloud9 Leaves Rocket League Scene

The North American organization Cloud9 has closed their Rocket League division. Mariano "SquishyMuffinz" Arruda has been transferred to NRG Esports, while Kyle "Torment" Storer and Jesus "gimmick" Parra will continue to play together in Rat Enterprise.

These three players have been representing Cloud9 since 2017. During this period the team won multiple events, including RLCS Season 6 – Finals, DreamHack Pro Circuit: Dallas 2019, Rocket League Universal Open Season 2 and RLCS Season 4 – North America.

To make space for SquishyMuffinz, NRG Esports have benched the Swedish player Pierre "Turbopolsa" Silfver. He has been playing for the team since last June and helped them to win RLCS Season 8 – Finals, RLCS Season – North America, and Rocket League Summit 1.

Torment and gimmick will play under the Rat Enterprise alongside a 17-years-old Slater "retals" Thomas, who joined the team as a stand-in for Codename: COVERT. They will be coached by Jayson "Fireburner" Nunez, who earlier served in this role in Cloud9.
