EWC 2026 on League of Legends: format, prizes and groups

From July 15 to July 19 July, the Esports World Cup 2026 League of Legends tournament is taking place on patch 26.13 with a $2 million prize pool ($600,000 for the first place). It involves 16 teams, divided into 4 groups.

The tournament has a dynamic format: starting matches and winers' finals are played in Bo1 format, while the knockout matches and losers' finals are played in Bo3 format. The best teams from each group will move to the playoffs. The group stage started on July 15 with upper bracket matches in all quartets.
