HGC 2018 Eastern Clash #1: Format, Teams, Schedule

The first Eastern Clash of the 2018 Heroes of the Storm Global Championship season kicks of tomorrow! Let’s take a look at the event’s format, list of participants and schedule.

Eastern Clash is a major Heroes of the Storm LAN-event, which will take place on March 16-18 at Blizard eStadium in Taipei, Taiwan. The tournament will feature 8 best teams from Korea and China competing for a $100,000 prize pool. Four teams have qualified from the South Korean league, three from the Chinese league, yet another team has made it through HGC Taiwan. The list of participants looks as follows:

HGC Taiwan

  • Loli Meow

The teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, with the first rounds of the upper and lower brackets being best-of-three and all other regular matches being best-of-five. The grand finals will be best-of-seven with a 1-game advantage for the team from the upper bracket.

  • 5:40 AM: Tempest vs Loli Meow
  • 7:30 AM: TheOne vs KSV Black
  • 9:20 AM: Super Perfect Team vs BlossoM
  • 11:00 AM: Ballistix vs Chall Enge

Earlier this month Katowice hosted Western Clash – a $100,000 Heroes of the Storm tournament for best teams from North America and Europe. In the grand finals Team Dignitas defeated Zealots with the 4-3 score.
