Liquid, Secret and Virtus.pro are the First Invitees of ESL One Katowice

The organizers of the upcoming Dota 2 major tournament ESL One Katowice started to give away direct invites to the event – Team Liquid, Team Secret and Virtus.pro are the first teams that were invited.

Each invite makes a lot of sense – all the teams sit on top of the Dota Pro Circuit rankings, with Team Secret having 3690 points, Team Liquid – 2700 points, and Virtus.pro – 2700 points. Moreover, all three teams placed top-3 at the previous ESL major in Hamburg. ESL will give away seven more invites, the other six teams will have to make it through the regional qualifiers.

ESL One Katowice is the second major of the season organized by ESL. It will be held on February 20-25 in Katowice, Poland, with the playoffs stage being played before a live audience at Spodek Arena on February 23-25. Sixteen best teams from all around the world will compete for their share of a $1,000,000 prize pool and 1500 DPC Points.
