MATUMBAMAN Steps Down from Team Liquid Active Roster

Team Liquid have announced that Lasse Aukusti "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen is no longer part of their Dota 2 active roster. The player is open for new opportunities, while the team will participate at the upcoming EPICENTER Major 2019 with a new player.

MATUMBAMAN had been playing for Team Liquid since October 2015. During these three and a half years the team managed to stay without roster changes and emerge victorious at The International 2017 and multiple other premier events. The roster also managed to set multiple several records, being first in total LAN wins, total prize pool earned, total LAN games and total LAN games won.

This season Team Liquid placed 7-8th at Chongqing Major 2019, 13-16th at DreamLeague Season 11 and 1st at MDL Disneyland Paris Major 2019, earning enough DPC points to secure their spot at The International 2019. Recently the team also qualified for EPICENTER Major 2019, which will begin next week.
