North Defeated HellRaisers in DreamHack Tours 2018 Finals

DreamHack Tours 2018, a $100,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament, has concluded with the 2-0 victory of North over HellRaisers in the grand finals. The Danish received half of the prize pool – $50,000, while their opponents got only $20,000.

The event was held on May 19-21 at Parc des Expositions in Tours, France. It featured 8 participating teams, 6 of them were invited by the organizers – Team EnVyUs, Gambit Esports, GODSENT, HellRaisers (replacement of Heroic), North, and The Imperial, while AGO Esports and Torqued made it through the European and North American qualifier respectively. First, the teams were split into two GSL groups. Then top two teams from each group advanced to the single-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three series.

Both North and HellRaisers played in Group B and placed first and second accordingly. In the semifinals North defeated Gambit Esports, while HR were able to outplay GODSENT 2-0. In the grand finals the Danish team outplayed their opponents 2-0 (16:12 at Mirage; 16:9 at Inferno) and received $50,000 in prize money.
