Tarik to Play for NRG Esports

The ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 champion Tarik "tarik" Celik has joined one of the strongest North American teams NRG Esports. He will replace the longest standing member of the team Jacob "FugLy" Medina, who has been benched.

Tarik has been teamless since January 2019, when he was released from MIBR. While being part of the Brazilian team, Tarik placed 3rd-4th at FACEIT Major: London 2018, 2nd at BLAST Pro Series: Istanbul 2018 and ECS Season 6 Finals, and 3rd-4th at ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals. Earlier he played for Cloud9, with whom emerged victorious at ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018.

FugLy has been playing for NRG Esports since 2016. The last year was quite successful for the team as they emerged victorious at several LAN-events, among which are IEM Masters XIII – Shanghai, cs_summit 3 and Americas Minor Championship 2019. At the major NRG Esports showed the best results in the first stage, where they placed first with the 3-0 map score. However, they lost all three series in the second stage and placed 15th-16th at the event, failing to secure their spot at the next major.
