Team Liquid and Newbee Are Invited to SL i-League Invitational #4

The organizers of StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4 announced the teams who received direct invites to their minor tournament – Team Liquid and Newbee will travel to Shanghai in February to compete for a $300,000 prize pool and 300 Pro Circuit Points.

Both Liquid and Newbee were also invited to the previous tournament of the series, which was held in November. Then Liquid placed first, while Newbee failed to even qualify from a group. Since then Newbee placed 1st at Perfect World Masters and 3-4th at AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League, while Liquid were victorious at AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League and got silver medal at DreamLeague Season 8.

At StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4 they will be joined by 6 teams that will have to make it through the regional qualifiers in Europe, CIS, North America, South America, China, Southeast Asia. All regions will feature a single-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five finals. At the moment we know all participants of European, CIS, South American qualifiers, while more detailed information about the other regions will be announced in the nearest future.

The main event will take place on February 1-4 in Shanghai. In the group stage the participating teams will be divided into two groups of four, where they will play best-of-three matches in GSL format. Top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoff bracket with Bo3 semifinals and Bo5 finals. The teams will compete for their share of a $300,000 prize pool and 300 Pro Circuit Points.
