Natus Vincere Are Champions of Paladins Summer Finals 2018
This weekend Atlanta hosted a major Paladins tournament with a $100,000 prize pool – Paladins Summer Finals 2018. In the grand final of the event Natus Vincere defeated Team EnVyUs, receiving $40,000 in prize money.
The event was held on July 18-22 in Atlanta at Skillshot Esports Arena. It featured 11 teams competing for their share of a $100,000 prize pool. Four participants qualified to the event through Paladins Premier League (Na`Vi and Fnatic from EU, G2 and Team EnVyUs from NA), while the others made it through Paladins Global Series in each region, including: Gankstars (North America), Spacestation Gaming (Brazil), Burrito Esports (Latin America), Kanga Esports (Oceania), ClownFiesta (Europe), WolfPack (Southeast Asia), Armada Esports (CIS). The teams competed in a double-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three regular matches, best-of-five winners finals and losers finals, and best-of-seven grand finals. To reach the grand finals, Natus Vincere made it all the way through the upper bracket, where they defeated Kanga Esports (2-0), Team EnVyUs (2-0), and Burrito Esports (3-1). In the grand final they defeated the North American roster of Team EnVyUs once again, now with the 4-2 score. Earlier this year Natus Vincere also managed to place first at Paladins Master Spring 2018 and Paladins World Championship 2018.
