Vici Gaming Defeats Virtus.pro in the DreamLeague Season 11 Grand Finals
Vici Gaming, despite initially being underdogs at the event, managed to place first at DreamLeague Season 11. The Chinese team defeated Virtus.pro with the 3-2 score in the grand finals of the major tournament, claiming $350,000 in prize money and 4,950 DPC points, which is enough to secure the spot at The International 2019.
Vici Gaming qualified for the event through the minor tournament StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor. At the major they placed second in Group B, thus they started their way through the playoffs bracket in its upper part. There they defeated Team Secret (2:1), PSG.LGD (2:1) and Fnatic (2:1).
DreamLeague Season 11 was held on March 14th – 24th in Stockholm, Sweden. Sixteen teams competed for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 Pro Circuit Points.
