OpTic Gaming: Misery Is Out, Saksa Stands In
OpTic Gaming, who only recently entered the Dota 2 scene, have already announced changes to its roster in the discipline – the team is parting ways with Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen, who will be temporary replaced by Martin "Saksa" Sazdov.
The team was formed in August 2017, right after The International. Initially called The Dire, the squad consisted of Pajkatt, CC&C, Zai, MiSeRy and ppd. A month later the team was signed by OpTic Gaming. Since its inception, the team have qualified to Summit 8 and ROG Masters 2017, as well as placed first at Midas Mode: North America.
Organization commented on the matter:
”Change is something that hardly comes without difficult decisions, and we feel that the departure of Rasmus from our roster not only provides Rasmus a chance to seek other opportunities but more importantly gives us the potential to improve and grow as a team.
Saksa, who just recently left MirOrFeed, joins the teams as a temporary stand-in – it is planned that he will play with the team at both Summit 8 and ROG Masters 2017, with both happening in December. It is unclear whether he will stay with the team in next year.
