Team Liquid Secured Their Spot at The International 2018
The reigning world champions Team Liquid made it to the semifinals of EPICENTER XL, by that gaining enough Dota Pro Circuit points to be qualified for The International 2018.
From a mathematical standpoint, a team needs 5369 or more qualification points to make it to the top-8 of DPC rankings and be invited to The International 2018. Team Liquid defeated OG in the quarterfinal of the ongoing major tournament EPICENTER XL, securing at least the 3rd place, which is worth 225 points. With them Team Liquid have already 5409 points, which makes them the second team after Virtus.pro to be qualified for TI8. They are followed by Team Secret with 4710 points and Mineski with 3150 points.
As we announced earlier, this year The International will be held at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada from August 20th to August 25th. Eight teams will be invited based on the Dota Pro Circuit rankings, the other teams will have to make it through the regional qualifiers.
